Multimedia Project

I think 4Shared is one great tool to store information There are many things one can use it to store files, music, photos, and videos. However, I found that the tool Screentoaster, which we used to demo 4Shared was an even greater experience. I enjoyed using the screetoaster to present and explain the different uses of 4Shared. I found 4Shared as being a great tool for the classroom geared for older students. For instance, sharing assignments for peers to reflect on eachothers papers.

Analyzing Student Data in a Spreadsheet

I used spreadsheets for the first time and found it to be a wonderful tool for my future as a teacher. You are able to gather and analyze information to see averages and progress. Below is a spreadsheet showing the test scores of students who tested below average compared to the whole class.

Below is a graph showing the comparisons of the students which gives the teacher a better analysis of the progress and the decrease in scores for each student. This is a wonderful tool that I will definately use as a classroom teacher. It provides you more information rather than just numbers. My analysis of the student data graph is that the majority of the students show progress. I also notice that Katherine’s test scores are sporadic. Her test scores jump 60 points then decreases 20 points, meanwhile Charles shows steady progress.

SKYPE

I played around with skype and appreciated all the features it had. I think it is a wonderful way to communicate with loved ones, especially those who are not close by. It is a great way to chat with your family and friends. I also believe this tool is a great way to collaborate with students, fellow teachers, and parents. I would use it to connect with other teachers and have my classroom experience other classrooms all over the world.
